Inspection Area | Use the CMM or bevel protractor to measure the angle. Record the measurement. | |
Inspection Area | Using the sine formula discussed in the text, determine the Five inch sine bar elevation. Record your calculations. | |
Inspection Area | Calculate the gage block stack up. Make sure you are using wear blocks. | |
Inspection Area | Select the blocks. Clean the blocks. Wring the blocks together. | |
Inspection Area | Set up the Sine Bar on the surface plate. | |
Inspection Area | Check the workpiece using the dial indicator as discussed in the text. | |
Inspection Area | Adjust the sine bar elevation until the dial indicator reads 0.001 TIR. | |
Inspection Area | Using the Machinery’s Handbook, look up the table of sine bar constants and determine the actual angle of the part based on the gage block stack up. | |
Inspection Area | Record your answer. | |
