tacking alignment.
160 Student Finish Welding all joints.
170 Hor. Mill or Jig Mill Set up to mill the .63 thickness
on the base plate using strap clamps.
Indicate straight within 0.005 in both
The X and Y axes.
180 Hor. Mill or Jig Mill Mill .63 thickness and deburr.
190 Hor. Mill or Jig Mill Setup to mill the flanged front face
by pushing the part up against the
keys in the machine table and strap clamping
with a strap clamp on the base and another
over the 2.25 diameter round.
200 Hor. Mill or Jig Mill Fill face to achieve the .70 flange thickness.
210 Hor. Mill or Jig Mill Deburr bottom plate.
220 Hor. Mill or Jig Mill Using an edge finder locate the center
of the 1.750 bored hole.
230 Hor. Mill or Jig Mill Center drill, drill a ½ inch diameter
pilot hole and drill a 1-1/2 inch
diameter hole through.
240 Hor. Mill or Jig Mill Bore the 1.750 hole on location
and to size.
250 Hor. Mill or Jig Mill Counter bore the 2.08 inch diameter
260 Student Calculate the positions of the .1880 inch
diameter holes.

270 Jig Mill Drill, Endmill, and ream
the .1880 holes on the R. 1.87 BHC
280 Hor. Mill or Jig Mill Turn the part around. pushing the part up against the
keys in the machine table and strap clamping
with a strap clamp on the base and another
over the 2.25 diameter round.
290 Hor. Mill or Jig Mill Finish mill the part to over all length.
300 Hor. Mill or Jig Mill Indicate the 1.750 Bore to within
.001 inch TIR.
310 Hor. Mill or Jig Mill Counter bore the 2.25 inch diameter.
320 Hor. Mill or Jig Mill Unclamp and deburr part completely.
330 Vertical Mill Clamp part in vise. Locate, drill, and tap the
½-13 hole.
340 Student Deburr hole, wash part in parts washer.
