10 Instructor Use stock from files, and the Drill & Tap Gage Project. *  
20 Bench Make sure all hole locations are punched (prick punch, then center punch).
20 Bench Correctly calculate all spindle speeds to be used for center drilling, drilling, and chamfering.
30 Drill press Set up the part in a vise. Center drill all hole locations.
40 Drill press Pilot drill all holes 3/8 diameter and larger with the correct size pilot drill.
50 Drill press Drill correct size holes using cutting oil.
60 Drill press Use 90-degree countersink for chamfering all holes to thread depth.
70 Machine Shop Place part squarely in a bench vise.
80 Machine Shop Tap all required holes by hand. Use a square to assure alignment.
90 Bench Deburr the part and remove the layout dye.
100 Instructor Have the part inspected by your instructor. *
